The staff at Circle of Friends is experienced in and devoted to quality early childhood education. We meet the requirements set forth by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of Day Care, and continually update our knowledge through participating in early childhood seminars and workshops.
Michelle Herrmann (Director/Group Teacher)
‘Miss Michelle’ received a B.S. in Psychology/Special Education from Marist College, and an M.S. in Comparative and International Education from Oxford University in England. She has dual certification in the areas of general education and special education from New York State and has directed Circle of Friends since 2005. Along with her experience at the center, she is an active member in her church and faithfully serves in their children’s ministry. Her passion is to reach children with the good news of Jesus Christ through her teachings and by her example.

Jennifer Iovino (Teaching Assistant)
‘Miss Jennifer’ has received a B.A. in Philosophy from Nyack College and is completing her M.S. in Science Education at CUNY Lehman. She is the mother of an honor student at Flushing Christian School, all to God’s credit. She has been walking with Christ and serving faithfully at her church for 10 years. She has a very fervent prayer life and has seen the power of answered prayer in her life and in the lives of those in her church.
Ok-mi Kim (Teaching Assistant)
‘Mrs Kim’ has been with Circle of Friends since 1992. She has extensive experience working with young students and is fluent in both English and Korean. God has given her a special love for children and has equipped her with the patience, compassion, knowledge, and understanding needed to work in an early childhood educational program.
